31 January 2017 - Reminder - we skate year round
As the temperature keeps on dropping it's a good time to remind all our skaters that the Easy Peasy Skate goes year round, aside from a few sessions between Xmas and New year.
Just watch out for those twigs and leaves :)
18 October 2016- Leaf alert!
Our mobile leaf detection system - our skates - have reported slippery leaves in the park this morning. Keep those skate strides underneath your body and watch out for those patches!
23 June - No skate this weekend
The Easy Peasy Skate will be having a well earned break for the Formula E championship to take place this weekend. We return next week!
24 March - It's hotting up
We're expecting many more people today.
Sunburn and sunstroke optional... :D
14 January 2015 - Free Skating in the Park returns!
Join us this week for a few friendly laps round the park.
22 May - Free Popcorn and Outdoor Cinema
Those lovely people at the Pump House Gallery have organised an outdoor cinema experience, with free popcorn (while stocks last) from 11am till 4pm. As the Easy Peasy Skate finishes at 11:30, that's where we are heading after the skate!
The skate this week broke all previous records (and some CD's). A quick update on the event; it's two laps of the park at a nice chilled pace. Then one fast lap. All welcome for next weeks skate; This April we celebrate our 9th birthday so join us in the park and bring us a lollipop!
If you're seeking to start your weekend with a fresh, cool, calm and collected skating event then look no further. Ok, we are back, bigger and more voluptuous than before.
We kick off at 10:30am for a roll around the park and return each week when the weather is dry!
Wow, what an amazing season of EZPZ in what has to be the summer of love! Remember the skate goes all year round (excluding the last two weeks of December) and relies on volunteers to run it.
Done the skate?

8 Jan. Where to go after an Easy Peasy Skate
May we recommend the cafe, by the lake on the east side of the park?
In terms of skill level the next group skate is the Sunday Rollerstroll which kicks off each SUnday from Hyde park. Watch out, that one has hills!
60 people join Festival skate
The second biggest Easy Peasy skate took place with dozens of newer skaters joining the fun. Send us your feedback if you came: firstname.lastname@example.org

Hi People, just a quick line or 2 to thank you for organising the Easter Egg Hunt. We travelled down from Hull (near York in the North East) after seeing it advertised in the Guardian's The Guide the previous weekend.
We camped at Lee Valley and had a complete blast all weekend, skating with you guys, visiting the Science and Natural History Museums, seeing Fame in the West End, and the Legends of Hip Hop on Sunday.
I'd heard of the Friday Night Skate some time ago but wasn't sure it would be suitable for my 2 sons Floyd (9) and Billy (12). The Easy Peasy was just perfect. I can't wait to show them the pics on your photos page.
Next time we're down I think we'll also do the Sunday Rollerstroll thingy too as the boys enjoyed it so much!
Thanks again for all your efforts, you organised a great event and
good luck with all your future plans!
Dee, Billy and Floyd
I attended a skate course in Victoria last year but haven't practised at all
since then as I found skating on outdoor surfaces a lot different and quite
hard and scary.
The easy peasy skate was perfect and I absolutely loved it
and I'm all keen to take it up again! Thank you for organising something so fun!
Saturday 26 March 2005
Wow, what a skate! A sunny start to first ever Easy Peasy with over 100 skaters attending; some making the journey from as far as Eastbourne and Hull. After the park loop we explained the rules off the egg hunt – one egg per skater, maximum of two eggs.
But before the hunt began some parents were claiming THEY were under 13. After weeding them out and confiscating several fake "under-13" identification cards the kids skated off in search of chocolate.
See you next week at 10:30am for a double loop of the park.
Did you come? How did your day go? Write to us about your experience, from hearing about the event, buying equipment to skating the first ever Easy Peasy:email@example.com
